Sre Ramana College of Education was established in the Semi-rural area of Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu in the year 2014 by Sre Ramana College of Education Trust, Upparapatti Village, Uthangarai Taluk, Krishnagiri- 635 207.

The B.Ed. course was recognized by the Southern Regional Committee, National Council for Teacher Education, Bangalore vide its Order F.SRCAPP1810/B.Ed.,/TN/2013-14/dated 12.02.2014 for an intake of 100 students (Two Units). The college is situated away from the Uthangarai Town, pollution with lush green surroundings.
By the above Programme, the college fulfills its mission and objectives to keep pace with the futuristic growing civilized world society. It intends to develop young student-teachers, who posses knowledge and confidence to adjust to the fast changing world of the competitive scenario without losing traces of humanity.
The Programmes are designed with direct career relevance. Though the curricula and syllabi are designed by the affiliating Tamil Nadu Teachers Education university and are required to be followed by the college, the faculty member are instrumental in sending comments and views on the curriculum and successfully implementing them as per directive of the university. The curricular structure provides ample scope for the Theory, Teaching Practice, Internal Assessment, Field Trip, Camp Activities, Art and Work Experience, Educational Technology, Information & Communication.
